Delete your account and data

How to delete your account and all your data, what is deleted, what is kept and for how long.
This page explains how to delete your account and data held by XMAX MEDIA JOINT STOCK COMPANY (XMAX MEDIA JSC). Your account is shared across the timanh.vn website, the bananh.vn website and the Tìm Ảnh mobile app — deleting it in one place deletes it everywhere.
Option 1 — Request deletion by email
The website does not yet have a self-service delete button. To delete your account:
- Email [email protected] from the account's own email address, with the subject “Account deletion request”.
- State the account's email address and how you sign in (Google, or email and password).
- We may ask you to confirm that you own the account, for example by replying from that email address. We never ask for your password or for photographs of identity documents.
We acknowledge your request within 2 working days and complete the deletion within 20 days of a valid request. The deadline may be extended once under Decree No. 356/2025/ND-CP, in which case we will tell you why.
Option 2 — Delete it in the Tìm Ảnh app
If you have the Tìm Ảnh mobile app and sign in with the same account, you can delete it instantly rather than waiting:
- Open the Tìm Ảnh app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to the Account tab.
- Under Account, choose Delete account.
- Read the list of what will be deleted and type DELETE (or XOÁ in Vietnamese) in the confirmation box.
- Choose Permanently delete account and confirm.
The account is deleted immediately, and you will no longer be able to sign in to timanh.vn or bananh.vn with it.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
- Saved faces: open an Event's search page, select the face in the list and delete it. The image, the face feature vector and the search copies are removed from our servers immediately.
- The browser's copy of your faces: clear your browsing data (cookies and local storage) for timanh.vn. See the Cookie Policy.
- Name and phone number: edit or clear them under Account information.
- Event photos showing you: ask for them to be removed or hidden as described in the Photo Usage Rules — you can do this without an account.
- Anything else (for example deleting support emails you sent): email [email protected].
What gets deleted
- Sign-in account: email, name, phone number, hashed password, the Google sign-in link, profile picture.
- All saved faces: face images, thumbnails, face feature vectors and search copies — across all three platforms that share the account.
- Saved notes, BIB numbers and followed Events (where applicable).
- Settings and consent records.
- Support and feedback requests you sent through the website (the copy held in the Service).
- All open sessions.
What is kept, and for how long

Before you delete
- This cannot be undone. Once deleted, neither the account nor its data can be recovered.
- Photos you already downloaded stay on your device; deleting the account does not affect them.
- The account is deleted across all three platforms: timanh.vn, bananh.vn and the Tìm Ảnh app.
- Data held by Google (if you signed in with Google) is governed by Google's own policy; you can revoke access in the third-party connections section of your Google account.
